Frank King
President

Frank has been in the Reverse Mortgage business since 1991. Before that he worked in the “forward” mortgage industry. He formed American Senior Funding because he wanted to provide a higher level of service and to make reverse mortgages available to more seniors. Providing education about reverse mortgages is important for seniors to understand their options. According to Frank, reverse mortgages are good for many seniors because they help them to stay independent and age with dignity.

Born in Switzerland, Frank grew up in San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in political science and economics. He received his MBA degree from National University and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Frank is married with four children.

An individual who maintains high ethical standards, Frank would rather do the right thing. His philosophy about the business: “I want to treat every client as though he or she were my own parent.”

Executive Vice President

Harve has been in the Reverse Mortgage business since 1991. He has worked in the mortgage banking industry since 1967, during which he owned his company for 25 years. Of all the mortgage programs that he’s seen, he believes that Reverse Mortgages are the financial product that will benefit seniors in this country the most. In fact, Harve has a Reverse Mortgage on his own home.

According to Harve, Reverse Mortgages are a good choice because:

• They give seniors the ability to remain in their home for life, preserving their dignity and quality of life
• Seniors can retain their independence with added financial security
• With Reverse Mortgages, seniors will not be a burden on their children.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Harve has lived in California for over 30 years. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University, majoring in chemistry. He is also a Certified Senior Advisor. A US Army veteran and member of the American Legion, he is married with five adult children and nine grandchildren.

Kevin Kaltenbach
Executive Vice President

Kevin has been involved in Reverse Mortgages since 2001. He is also a California licensed Real Estate Broker. Prior to joining the mortgage banking industry, he owned his own business for 15 years.

When asked why Reverse Mortgages, he answers: “Because of the change it makes in people’s lives. Reverse Mortgages are good for so many seniors because it changes their lives for the better.”

Kevin is from Detroit, Michigan and has been in California since 1982. He is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association. He is married, and his wife works in the Real Estate industry.

Kevin is known for his contagious optimism and believes in treating people the way they want to be treated.
